Northern Adelaide Senior College 2021 SACE Completers and year 12s enjoy a day retreat to Woodside Adventure Park last Thursday.

The retreat is a first for NASC to help support and empower our SACE Completers and year 12s in their final year of senior secondary education.

“We got there just after 10 o’clock and we had a guest speaker come who spoke to us about changing our mindset and having a more positive outcome in seeking what we want,” says Rebecca B., a year 12 student.

“The presentation that Sam did was good. It was a pretty long one where he got everyone engaged and stuff. He got everyone up and moving. That was fun,” agrees Jay O’D.

“We did a lot of challenges at Challenge Hill. There was a military obstacle course of climbing over and under the ropes and a lot of people wanting to try and do the water rope challenge. We went through the labyrinth and we even got to see a koala eating,” remarks Rebecca.

“It was good to get out to the Adelaide Hills and exercise. There was a lot of walking, especially in the obstacle course. It was a fun day of exercise and learning motivation,” says Jay.

Rebecca says that she had fun and hopes that NASC continues to host the retreat in the future.

“I was able to step out of my comfort zone. I learned that it is alright for me to have some say in what I can change and it was actually really nice to be outdoors and to have that opportunity.”

If you would like to enrol in year 11-13 at Northern Adelaide Senior College, it’s not too late. Enrol today or attend one of our Principal Tours held every first Friday of the month. Book your place with Students Services on (08) 7285 1600.
